The XLHR-1200 was built from an original 1990 XLH Sportster, the last of the rigid-mount 4-speeds. The tank, fender and wheels are all Harley-Davidson parts.
The tank is a Sportster touring tank option from the '60's. The wheels are modern disc hubs laced to '70s Harley-Davidson aluminum rims. The rear fender is a 2007 Harley-Davidson Wideglide part, chopped and narrowed for the Sportster frame. The custom 2 into 1 pipe was fabricated from drag pipes and a big twin muffler.
I fabricated a mounting bracket to move the foot pegs up and back. The original rear brake master cylinder was repositioned with a custom bracket, with the brake lever flipped upside down. The shift lever is also flipped, with a custom gear mechanism to maintain the street shift pattern.
